The NDC Committee is Lebanon’s highest-level policy coordination body for climate response. While initially focused on NDC implementation, its mandate has been expanded to include adaptation issues. Chaired by the Ministry of Environment and comprising representatives from key ministries, the Committee now oversees the work of the Mitigation and Adaptation Working Groups, promoting policy coherence through cross-ministerial coordination and the inclusion of climate objectives into national development planning. The Committee monitors and assesses the progress of policy implementation and ensures alignment of national efforts with international commitments.
